Journal: Neuroimmunomodulation

Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025

Increasing evidence points to the pivotal role of innate immune mechanisms in maintaining brain health and the pathogenesis of neurological diseases. The Journal Neuroimmunomodulation is pleased to announce a call for submissions to an Article Collection entitled "Innate Neuroimmunology," dedicated to exploring the intricate connections between innate immunity and the nervous system and highlighting key areas of contemporary research.

We are especially interested in expert review papers that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • The dynamic interplay between peripheral and central nervous system myeloid cells in the context of age-related cognitive decline.
  • The significant impact of diet-induced inflammation on brain development and the influence of environmental factors on neural health.
  • The multifaceted role of glia-like cells and cytokines in the pituitary gland, with a focus on their involvement in physiology, pathology, and senescence.
  • The contribution of innate immune components in neurodegeneration and neurodevelopment.

Additionally, we encourage the submission of brief reports and original research articles that provide novel insights into the influence of innate immune memory on central nervous system physiology. This Article Collection seeks to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of advancements in the field of innate neuroimmunomodulation.

Please select the option “Call for Papers: Innate Neuroimmunology” when submitting your manuscript and mention this Call for Papers in your cover letter.
