The journal Neuroimmunomodulation calls for contributions for the article collection entitled Psycho-neuroendocrine-immune aspects in pain research. This collection will explore the intricate interplay between psychological, neuroendocrine, and immune mechanisms in the context of pain. Emphasis will be placed on bidirectional signaling pathways that connect the brain and nervous system, endocrine system, and immune system.
We welcome submissions of original research articles and review articles highlighting recent advances in neuroimmunomodulation, the contributing works should examine the mechanisms of stress, mood, inflammation, and hormonal responses that influence pain perception and the development of chronic pain.
