Pathobiology calls for comprehensive review articles that synthesize current knowledge and identify future directions for the field. This open call reflects our commitment to advancing the full spectrum of pathology and related areas including oncology, microbiology, cell and molecular biology, and immunology.
Recent research published in the journal has focused on infectious diseases, digital diagnostics, and molecular oncology. We welcome reviews that critically evaluate these and other areas of interest to the journal.
Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):
- Digital Pathology in Clinical Practice
- Molecular Biomarkers and Personalized Patient Care
- Pathology of Emerging Infectious Diseases
- Global Health Challenges
- Liquid Biopsy and Non-Invasive Diagnostics
- AI in Pathology
- Role of the Pathologist in Hereditary Cancer Syndromes
- Organoids in Cancer Research.
Only review articles will be considered. Other article types are outside the scope of this call.

As a hybrid journal, Pathobiology supports Open Access publications. Corresponding authors can publish Open Access articles at no or reduced cost if they are associated with or employed by one of these universities/institutions.
