Journal: Cardiorenal Medicine

Submission Deadline: October 31, 2026

Advances in the understanding of heart–kidney interactions have marked a new era of cardiorenal protection. Building on recent breakthroughs, from SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists to next-generation MRAs and ARNi, this article collection provides a platform for innovative studies as well as insightful perspectives and reviews that shape the next generation of cardiorenal care.

We welcome contributions spanning mechanistic discovery, clinical investigation, and implementation science, with a particular focus on strategies that enable integrated, personalized, and durable protection across organ systems. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

  • SGLT2 inhibitors and their expanding cardiorenal indications
  • GLP-1 receptor agonists and metabolic–cardiorenal pathways
  • Aldosterone synthase inhibitors and their role in hypertension and modulation of cardiorenal pathways
  • Steroidal and non-steroidal MRAs (e.g., finerenone) and mineralocorticoid signaling modulation
  • ARNi-based approaches to hemodynamic and neurohormonal regulation
  • Biomarkers and precision medicine frameworks for risk stratification and treatment tailoring
  • Population-based approaches
  • Lifestyle interventions
  • Multidisciplinary or integrated care models and implementation strategies

By bringing together diverse perspectives in nephrology, cardiology, and metabolic disorders, this collection aims to accelerate progress toward more integrated and personalized care for patients living with complex cardiorenal conditions.
