Journal: Glomerular Diseases

Submission Deadline: October 31, 2026

Perceptions regarding the need for and use of genetic testing in glomerular diseases have changed over the last 5-10 years. While once used predominantly as a research tool, genetic assessments from curated targeted panels to whole exome or genome sequencing have begun to provide important, clinically actionable and time-sensitive information for clinicians taking care of patients, and for families in whom these gene variants are found. In addition, specific genetic variants now provide genetic support for targeted disease-modifying therapies.

Glomerular Diseases seeks basic and clinical original research manuscripts, reviews, perspectives, case reports, and case series concerning genetic variants and mechanisms that directly influence glomerular disease etiology, contribute to progression risk, and/or affect response to therapy.

Please select the option “Call for Papers: Genetics and Genomics of Glomerular Diseases” when submitting your manuscript and mention this Call for Papers in your cover letter.
